Christmas Stocking Lessons

Commercial offerings just didn't have the VOLUME that I desired. My goal was to make a Christmas stocking that was the very limit of reasonable - something just short of a totally blatant greedy size. Testing the size of my pattern on the chimney, I thought that I had made something that was be reasonably aesthetically balanced without looking like a grabby little jerk.

When I was done sewing the seams, I turned it inside out and wept when I realized the reduction in volume.

Why is his beard green? We were broke ass poor when I was a kid! You think we could buy all the colors we wanted from the Lumber City craft department? I was lucky to have fleshtone and I didn't have to resort to blue skin. Those rich kids, they had ALLLL the good felt!
