Bianchi Via Nirone (2011)
The Via Nirone is Bianchi's entry level road bike. The 2014's have hydroformed aluminum tubing, while this 2011 has more traditional round tubing. The new entry level Nirone's component level is not quite as nice as these earlier models. Rather than the Claris/2300 group, these have a mixed mostly Sora group which is one step up the food chain.
A really nice entry level road bike for the price of a KHS or Giant, but with the legendary Bianchi heritage and design. "They are all the same! They are all made in Taiwan or China!" That is true, but Bianchi has been building cutting edge bikes for 100 years and the technology from the high end stuff does inform the lower priced models. And, we would be lying if we didn't admit that the Bianchi brand name is terrifically more sexy than those corner bike store brands. Something to consider when you think about selling and upgrading to a full carbon bike in a couple of years.
We have a great relationship with Bianchi and they have learned that Coco's is the place to unload last year's models. The average age of a Coco's staff bike is well over ten years, so we are big advocates of buy GREAT bikes that are a few years old. Coco's negotiated a killer price which we are passing along. We were able to get two at this price - both 61 CM.
Brand new bike, full Bianchi warranty.
Not internet-buy-able, not shippable. Must be picked up at Coco's, fully assembled and tested.
