Bianchi Via Nirone - Sora Spec Level - Brand New

Brand new Bianchi Via Nirone road bikes with aluminum frame, carbon fork and Shimano Sora 9-speed group. There are grades of Shimano group sets and they increase in price, decrease in weight and increase in number of speeds. From bottom to top - Claris, Sora, Tiagra, 105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace. As they keep evolving, the technology of the high end migrates down to the middle and lower specs. Sometimes, people will suggest that their 15 year old 105 is better than Sora. I don't think so. The lower ends have evolved and are very nice. 

If you can't keep up with the peloton and your friends are dropping you on a modern aluminum Sora equipped is probably not the bikes fault. Sure, the higher end bikes are nicer. Definitely. Expereinced riders putting on lots of miles will feel the refinement and weight in all sorts of ways and situations, but as an entry level rider, a Sora aluminum bike is a great place to start.
