1994 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 FS for Heavy City Duty
This was the flagship hardtail Specialized mountain bike in 1994. The previous owner replaced the shot suspension fork with a nice, suspension corrected Tange fork. I believe it is a Soma from Merry Sales. Arrived with an uncut fork and a short stem with a handlebar spacer, now has the correct size stem with a nice rise. This came from a friend of the store that knows what he is doing and he built an nice set of Sun Rhinolite wheels. New Michelins, salmon Koolstops, lots of the trick stuff.
We call these bikes burrito slayers, as they are the perfect city bike for casual errands, farmer's market runs, riding to work or bar hopping. Ideally, a burrito slayer is comfy, slack geometry with a straight back, heads-up, see over cars riding position. Why burrito slayer? With a stead this fine, you will conquer the city, slaying burritos far and near. You will not fall prey to any burrito, claiming victory every time!
