Trek Burrito Slayer
A Burrito Slayer is a term used by Coco's Variety to describe a certain style of urban bicycle that is well suited to carrying a six pack and a burrito. For bar hopping and errand running, you need something not overly precious or complicated, but well engineered, comfortable and thoughtfully assembled from the parts bins.
This particular bike was a victim of the fixie/single speed craze. Somebody removed all the paint from a very nice Trek road bike. Too much was missing - including the paint- to justify building it back up as a roadie but it was just too nice to not finish. We should not build these, as it dumps tons of money in parts into a bicycle that we can't really charge much for. Sure is a lot cooler than a generic beach cruiser.
