Masi 8-Speed Flat Bar City Bike

Campagnolo components often include the term brev. - abbreviation for the Italian word brevette - which just means patented, i.e. in context, it means it is patented by Campy. During the Masi by way of China reboot, they really latched onto using the term brev as an in-house component brand like Trek’s Bontrager. Though I appreciated a lot of what Masi was doing, I couldn’t take the “Italian heritage” hucksterism and decided to not carry the marquee. It is essentially having the word “patented” on your wheels in 128 point type. If you buy this nice quality, warrantied extremely nimble and zippy 8-speed Claris flat bar hybrid, you might want to peel those stickers off. In fact, I may peel them off if I go too long without lunch and start feeling plucky. $450 for a rad thing with dumb stickers. Small 49 CM
