It took a couple decades, but bicycle companies have finally stopped putting cheap, heavy, ineffective suspension bikes on kid's bikes. Sure, there is a small percentage of kid rider's that need a more capable mountain bike, but mostly these are ridden on the pavement and ride nicer with a rigid fork.
