Vintage Specialized Stumpjumper for Heavy City Duty

This is the same bike that is Jenny's burrito slayer. So you know that is going to be a killer bike. Early Stumpjumper Sport with the correct original Nitto 'Specialized' branded stem, correct original bar. We had to replace the rear derailleur as the cage was bent, but it is Deore LX albeit a later (more robust) version. Very, very nice thing with the correct Deore thumbies and motorcycle style levers. 

Could we have replace those thumb shifters with Falcons and sold the original thumb shifters on eBay and made an extra $100? Yes. But that wouldn't be very cool of us.

This is a large but not an extra large. I am 6' 3" and I would be happy to ride it for 10 miles but I would get sick of it being too small for me after that. 

Those in the 5' 9 - 6' are going to be happiest, I would think. Depends on you though. 

This was crusty when arrived. Now very nice. Comprehensive refurb. We bought inexpensively from friend of the scene and that price is all labor and parts.
